According to York County Department of Emergency Service dispatchers, the fire broke out at a two-story home in the 800 block of East Poplar Street in York City just before 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 4.
First responders have already made "multiple rescues." However, the number of people reportedly trapped in the home was not shared, we only know that both families who lived in the home are safe.
The fire chief confirmed that the blaze began with a kerosene space heater, which is a heater that has been illegal in York City for over 30 years.
